Soheila Mikkonen
Soheila Mikkonen is an innovative and creative producer, journalist-screenwriter, communications professional, and solution-focused coach. She specializes in multiplatform content creation and hybrid events, with a passion for ideating media products that accelerate learning. At Gutsy Go, Soheila serves as an Executive Producer and Developer, as well as a board member.
With nearly two decades in storytelling and the experience industry, Soheila has developed engaging and interactive content for award-winning international TV formats. She has tailored learning experience solutions for clients, delivered impactful training, and curated compelling social media content.
In the realm of learning and serious games, she has gamified negotiation skills for Trade Union Pro, designed an orientation experience for new employees at HopLop adventure park, collaborated with NASA to develop a game teaching astronaut skills, and storified the urban outdoor adventure app Mapventure. Additionally, Soheila has played a key role in creating online courses focused on utilizing optimal learning segments when building virtual trainings and has given workshops on presentation skills, as well as the impact of stories and emotions on long-term memory.
Over the years Soheila has worked with around 50 media productions and products (e.g., YLE, EO, Warner Bros., ITV Studios, Mediawan, Endemol Shine, Banijay, Different, Edita Publishing, Singa, Aller Media, SBS Broadcasting, Stooritaivas). She was part of the crew for the third and fourth seasons of the observational reality TV documentary series “Keeping The Nation Alive Finland” (Elossa 24h), which won the Golden Venla award in 2018 and 2019.
Drawing inspiration from cognitive behavioral science and positive psychology, Soheila, as a solution-focused coach, has empowered individuals and groups in various areas, including success factors, values, purpose, self-leadership, enhancing communication skills, and the pursuit of dreams and goals.
Soheila finds joy in topics around new insights, holistic well-being, and change. Her volunteer work in supporting community development extends globally in diverse locations, such as the Navajo Nation in Arizona, New Delhi India, and UNESCO World Heritage sites in Haifa.
